Fatty Liver Treatment Retreat – FAQs
It is a 14–21 day residential Ayurveda programme in Kerala for people with fatty liver. It combines a physician-led assessment, Ayurvedic liver therapies, a personalised liver-friendly diet, yoga and lifestyle guidance. The aim is to address the habits behind fatty liver, not only the symptoms.
Ayurveda sees fatty liver as linked to weak digestion and metabolic imbalance. Treatment focuses on improving digestion, supporting the liver’s natural cleansing and correcting diet and lifestyle. Results vary from person to person, and our physicians will assess whether the programme suits your condition before you book.
The programme runs for 14 to 21 days. A 14-day stay suits early-stage fatty liver and lifestyle correction. A 21-day stay allows deeper therapy and more time to build lasting habits. Your physician will recommend a duration after reviewing your health reports.
It suits adults diagnosed with fatty liver, especially when it is linked to weight gain, diabetes, high cholesterol, inactivity or stress. It is not a replacement for hospital care in advanced liver disease. Please share your reports with our doctors first so they can confirm the programme is right for you.
You’ll follow a personalised liver-friendly diet prepared fresh in our kitchen. It is light, plant-based and easy to digest, and it avoids fried, processed and heavy foods. Our team also teaches you how to keep eating this way after you return home.
Yes. Please bring recent liver function tests, an ultrasound report and a list of any medicines you take. Our physicians use them to design your treatment plan. You should continue prescribed medicines unless your own doctor advises otherwise.
Many guests notice better digestion, energy and sleep, along with weight loss, during their stay. Changes in liver test values usually take longer and depend on keeping the diet and lifestyle changes going at home. We recommend repeating your tests with your doctor a few weeks after the programme.
